Forty-four years from now, in a world where everyone can live vicariously through a fully robotic version of themselves safely, from the comfort of their home. Or so claims Robert Venditti, the writer of the five-issue comic series “The Surrogates”. Rapidly, technology has become integrated into our way of life, and as we become more dependent on it, so too has our expectations of this technology grown. We may think we are a ways off from humanoid robots but Hjort Henry, web designer and creator of uWeBbit.com doesn’t think so.
No, he has not yet created any androids but in the mean time, Hjort Henry has created what he predicts will be one of Jamaica’s best local go-to sites. “Everything you’ll ever need on one site, no need to leave the comfort of this homepage” he declared proudly as he explains concisely what uWeBbit.com is.
Mr. Henry who is a proud past student of Wolmer’s Boys School and a graduate of Vector’s Institute is in high spirits as he tries to recall the exact date uWeBbit.com became more than just an idea he had toyed with for over a year. He had the site registered and began building it from a culmination of his own ideas and good advice from friends. He remembered that the site ‘crashed’ on April 13 but when was it that he had begun creating? It was April 9, 2010 he finally recalls. Yes, armed with ideas, support, his laptop and his almost obsessive approach to work, uWeBbit.com was built less than a month ago.

UweBbit.com is a website that serves as a portal to current and relevant material that is usually scattered throughout internet sites. Imagine using one website, to read articles on ‘What to do this Weekend’, sign-in to facebook and twitter, post a notice about your lost dog, find potential buyers for your old car and get game cheats. Imagine no more. uWeBbit is bringing it all together for you check out your music videos ,auto blogs, how to tip and tricks ,fine living and Lifestyle updates.
